From 12.02. to 20.02. the first karate training of this year took place. Highlight was the final tournament for the first time in Meckenheim, a new location of the EMESKAI school. Together the regions Aachen and Rhine-Main have proven their skills in form competitions as well as fights. The following placements could be achieved in the Alsdorf club:

• Forma Prima: 3rd place – Radelle Abuzo
• Women fighting all category: 1st place – Annalena Strüver
  Additionally Radelle could be happy about the 2nd yellow belt. Congratulations!

After a long Corona break, we were finally able to hold our annual fall training again together with other karatekas.

Highlight of the training was the Dan promotion, which took place on the third weekend. 4 Dan candidates received their first Dan in a festive atmosphere. Beside this great event AcA could register the following new belts:

• Jonas Bauschulte: 1st yellow belt
• Radelle Abuzo: 1st yellow belt
• Jonas Gaida: 1st yellow belt
• Elias Rybka: 2nd orange belt
• Jana Robert: 1st green belt

In September our first regular training after the Corona shutdown took place again. With hygiene rules and measures we could finish the training last weekend again with a final tournament. Our club could prove the learned and practiced techniques from the training at the tournament and we could record the following placements:

As every year, our summer camp took place in the first week of August 2020. For the second time now in the beautiful Hanseatic city of Lübeck, our karatekas from all German clubs came together to train together. With appropriate measures, neither Corona nor the hot weather could keep us from training and sweating together. In addition to the daily early morning sports unit, practicing techniques and preparing for competitions, we explored Lübeck with its diverse leisure activities and experienced a great week together.

We also had some tournament successes: Congratulations to Frederik for 1st place in Forma Quinta-Set! (Forma for brown belts)

On Sunday, 16.02.2020 this year’s winter training was concluded with a tournament. Congratulations to Elias for 2nd place in the forma for yellow belts and Jana for 3rd place in the same category. Great performance!

For one week we held our annual summer camp in the beautiful Hanseatic city of Lübeck. In addition to early morning sports with intensive running training, we continued in the morning in the hall with karate techniques. At a final tournament we could measure our skills and besides some placements Lukas got the 2nd orange belt!

We are looking forward to seeing our German, Italian and Czech karate friends again as soon as possible! Until then, BÄM!

Last Sunday, 30.06, we held our spring intake training this year. Together we sweated, laughed and learned a lot at 30 degrees.

Despite the hot weather of the last few days, we don’t miss the training. Instead, we use other options so that we don’t have to train in the stuffy hall. So yesterday’s training took place at the Broicher Weiher. After a short running session in the shade, the training was completed on the Sandberg.

Last Whitsun weekend (08.-10.06.) our trainer team attended the annual trainer seminar in Darmstadt to further their education.
